On the occasion of GAIA's 24th anniversary, GAIA welcomed a prestigious visitor to its Brussels office in the person of Peter Singer. Professor of Bioethics at Princeton University and professor at Australia's Charles Sturt University, Peter Singer is one of the most influential of contemporary philosophers, and is most notably the author of "Animal Liberation."
First published in 1975, this book inspired the President of GAIA, Michel Vandenbosch, in his choice to devote his life to the cause of animal rights. In a word, without Peter Singer, GAIA would not exist.
During his visit in our offices, the philosopher spoke on camera about the work of GAIA in Belgium over the last 24 years. Watch the video here!
